Email Instructions – Apple Mail

1. IMAP Account Information (Note if you are setup as POP on your Mac, please skip to step 4).

Your Account information on your mac should resemble the information in the screenshot below.
Your “Incoming Mail Server” should always be mail.fastersolutions.com.

2. Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

After you entered all of the information in the screenshot above, click on Server Settings… You will now see a popup window like the one below.

Your “Outgoing Mail Server” should in most cases be mail.fastersolutions.com, and the “Server port” should be 587. If you are sending email out through another services or through your Internet Service Provider (ISP), these setting will be different, and you would need to contact them for their SMTP settings. All other settings in the screenshot above can stay the same. Now click OK.

3. Advanced Settings
Now you should click on the “Advanced” tab to verify your advanced settings are correct. Please reference the screenshot below:

If you are setup as IMAP your “Advanced” setting for your incoming mail port should be 143, and Authentication should be set to Password.

4. POP Account Information(Note: if you setup your account as IMAP you are done. Steps 4-6 are for POP account settings.)

If you are setup as POP your “Advanced” setting for your incoming mail port should be 110, and Authentication should be set to Password.
