Quality Content: The Key to Your Success

Close up of locks on a metal fence

Companies spend thousands and thousands of dollars annually to help grow their online presence. There are Facebook ads, Twitter ads, Pay-Per-Click ads, and social media giveaways – just to name a few. While these are all effective ways to grow your business, they also require money and patience to see the wanted results. But what if you’re just starting out and don’t have an advertising budget? How do you get your business to grow organically?

The short answer is simple:

You need quality content.

How to actually create quality content, though, takes a little bit more work to figure out. Here are a few tips to help your business create quality content.

Know Your Target Audience

Knowing your audience can have a huge impact on how your content is read, perceived and shared. When you know your target audience you have the ability to produce more relevant content that they will be more likely to engage in. Creating content for a specific type of person will help not just generate any traffic, it’ll help generate the right traffic.

Post Content Consistently

Once you know your target audience and start creating relevant content, you need to post consistently. Maintain a blog and post on social media platforms that make sense to your business and your customer. We suggest creating a marketing calendar to ensure that posts are being made at the correct time and place. Marketing calendars help delegate who is responsible for what, when posts need to be made, and what the topics are. This creates a mutual understanding in your marketing department of each individual’s responsibilities.

Be Responsive

Your company needs to be responsive. I am not talking about having a responsive website (although you absolutely should have one). What I’m talking about is simply taking the time to respond to questions and comments from your customers. This can go a long way in terms of customer service, but can also help break down the barrier between business and client. Responding to your potential customers shows that you are interested in who they are and what they have to say. This helps to create an emotional connection with them and helps earn their trust.

Create Information that is Easily Shared

Consumers today want accessible, easily digestible information. This, luckily, can be made in a wide variety of forms. Post pictures that relate to your product and team. Make videos on who your company is, what you do, and how a potential client can benefit from your product. Create a unique hashtag that encourages user engagement and helps your brands identity grow. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, but having a blog is one of the best ways your business can create new leads. Blogs can incorporate photos, videos, user engagement, and can be easily shared throughout social media platforms.
