WordPress Web Developer

POSITION: WORDPRESS WEB DEVELOPER

Faster Solutions is looking for a creative, energetic, and talented Front-end WordPress Web Developer to join our design and development team. This position will work with other designers and programmers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Faster Solutions Web Developers provide website maintenance and development as well as technical support for our client’s websites, hosting, and emails.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Position includes designing, developing and maintaining web sites. We’re looking for an individual with experience in web design and web site development using HTML5, CSS3, & JavaScript. This is a full time position with full benefits! Additional details include:

• Knowledge of Windows and Linux servers required.
• Knowledge of PHP and WordPress Required.
• Develop custom and theme websites.
• Maintain custom and theme websites.
• Assist Project Coordinator & Designer with website strategies and plans.
• Meet with clients as requested.
• Assist Project Coordinator & Designer with website quality and control throughout the development process.
• Meet project timelines and budgets.
• Assist customers with technical support questions.
• Experience with website maintenance using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript required.
• Experience working with the latest social media, plug-in, and theme applications.
• Ability to write W3C standards and PCI compliance with cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with front-end markup in XHTML/CSS/AJAX(Jquery)
• Can work with a number of MVC frameworks and write strong, scalable code
• Experience with domains, Linux and Windows platforms, and client and server-side application troubleshooting to assist our server admins.
• 4-year degree in Graphic Design, CIS, Web Development, etc. field or equivalent web certifications and experience, preferred.
• 2-year real-world experience preferred.
• Must be a great communicator and handle multi-tasking, scheduling, and meeting deadlines.
• Must have experience in a remote work environment.
• Must be organized and have strong time management skills.

Qualifications

The person filling this position must have a thorough understanding of web development best practices, and candidates must have experience developing online applications. This role will partner with our creative team in creating value and delivering results, a positive experience for consumers, and successful website builds. The position is also a resource for and consultant to our client and team members.

Recommended Skills

• Knowledge in CSS3, XHTML, HTML5, and JavaScript required.
• WordPress & PHP knowledge required.
• Knowledge in Avada Website Builder by Theme Fusion is very helpful.
• Mobile development knowledge required.
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills necessary.
• Enthusiastic and enjoys having fun!

Job Location

Remote. We have PPE available to team members that meet in our office and otherwise are working remotely as a team with some onsite meetings required occasionally.
